Carl Stillwaggon Awarded Plaque for 70 Years of Service
Life Member and Past Chief Carl Stillwaggon was awarded a plaque at the Cronomer Valley Fire Department monthly meeting for 70 years of service as a volunteer firefighter. Carl joined the Department in 1949 only 15 years after it was formed. He worked his way up to Chief of the Department from 1966-1967. He comes from a family of firefighters that were instrumental in the development of the fire station and grounds, training and leadership, and overall progressive thinking that has brought us to where we are today. His brothers Elbert and Don Stillwaggon and his son Stuart all contributed to many decades of service and leadership in the Cronomer Valley FD. They also all had local businesses that served the community and contributed to the well being of the community financially. We want to take this opportunity to thank Carl and his family for their time and service that they have given to Cronomer Valley Fire Dept. and show them the respect they deserve.
