Cronomer Valley Fire Department held it’s 88th Annual Installation Dinner at it’s fire station social hall on N Plank Rd. in the Town of Newburgh, NY on Saturday May 15th,2022. Guests from surrounding departments joined CVFD members in welcoming this years elected officers and honoring the accomplishments of 2021 and 2022 since COVID-19 restrictions had cancelled the previous year’s dinner. President Jeff Miller and Chief Robert Dorrmann presented the awards for service and introduced their new officers. The event was catered by Loughran’s of Salisbury Mills, NY and entertainment provided by DJ Paulie H.. Special appreciation awards went to Crudele Communications of New Windsor, Jalynn Torres for decorations, and Bob McCormick, photographer for providing valuable service to the department and the fire service community. The following annual awards were given out:
- 2022 Probationary Member of the Year- Keith Weber
- 2022 Firepolice of the Year- Steve Scott
- 2022 Driver of the Year- Bob Quackenbush
- 2022 Officer of the Year- AJ Carubia
- 2022 Firefighter of the Year- Rich Rahuba
A list of years of service awards is in the pictures below. Chaplain Jeff Hooker was on hand to give the opening prayer and benediction. Jeff was thanked for his years of service and noted he will be missed due to reassignment for the Grace Methodist Church.
